Gucci Mane has announced his signing to Warner Bros. Records, where he will release his new studio album in August. It also marks the end of his relationship with Big Cat Records. Big Cat released its final Gucci Mane CD Tuesday, May 12, consisting of pre-2007 recordings and outtakes that were not assembled or endorsed by the rapper.

“I am no longer signed to, booked by, or working with Big Cat Records or any of its employees in any way. The CD that Big Cat is putting out consists of records that were never planned to make my album and is a non-official release. My fans will get the official Gucci Mane album in August on Warner Bros. Records.” states Gucci Mane.

He will also appear on the cover of XXL magazine’s July issue, along with other Atlanta area rappers.

Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys an Item?

The Swizz Beatz/Alicia Keys romance is back on again after one of the alleged lovers all but confirmed a relationship exists. In a remix to newcomer Drakes’ “Best I Ever Had”, Swizz Beatz spits, “she threw me a party at the Guggenheim” and talks a “baby” and “marriage.”

So you ask, who is that special someone? Last year Swizz made the news when Ms. Keys reportedly held a private birthday party in his honor at the prestigious museum, reports both denied were true.

According to a recent interview with the New York Daily News Swizz says that, yes, he’s in love with Keys and, yes, she did give him a birthday party at that museum.

“But we’re nowhere near ready for a baby or a ring,” laughs Swizz, aka Kasseem Dean. “This whole song is not about Alicia. The part about her cooking breakfast for me naked — she never done that for me.” Damn.

Swizz didn’t want to talk about Keys till now because, he says, “What we have is so precious.” He also felt it would aggravate Mashonda, who’s also a singer.

Reports about the couple first aired a year ago when Swizz and wife Mashonda leaked reports about a divorce. In February the divorce was finally filed. According to a source close to Swizz:

“Swizz has put settlement offers on the table, but Mashonda won’t say what she needs,” he continued. “She just came back from Paris and London. She drives a Bentley Flying Spur and a Cadillac Escalade. I don’t think life’s too bad for her.”
