Irv Gotti Discusses Sequel to Reality Series ‘Gotti’s Way’

New York, NY – Murder, Inc. mogul, Irv Gotti, has had a reality series for quite some time now and ironically, it is actually a hit amongst the reality heads that do watch those types of shows. Apparently, the show received such rave reviews that it is returning with a second season. If you tuned into last season of ‘Gotti’s Way,’ on VH1 then you were up to par with the troubled relationship between Gotti and his soon to be ex-wife, Deb. The relationship between his wife Deb and his three kids is quite a spectacle, practically adding great material to the series. This season it seems as though he is quite amused by the conflict and quarrels that were collected during the segment recorded sessions.

He recently spoke to MTV News about the issues involved in the next season and expressed his amusement in the way show came about, according to him exemplifies realism at its best. These were his comments:

“It isn’t getting worse, with Deb, after season one, so many people were like, ‘Set boundaries. This is all that the people are gonna see.’ I’m like, ‘We’re just raising our kids.’ What’s so bad about me, even though we’re not together, coming over and the kids seeing us together happy? But she’s like, ‘No.’ She goes to a therapist. … I’m the bad guy. Its conflict in this one, but the conflict is real. Even when I went to see Russell [Simmons], Russell is like, ‘You should pick the kids up and go somewhere else.’ Why? … With Deb, for the most part, me and her are cool.”

Gotti continued adding what the show means to him and it should be interpreted. With a chuckle, these were his comments on that:

“I always watch Dave Chappelle’s [skit] ‘When “Keeping It Real” Goes Wrong.’ I be like, ‘Is that me?’ I think people like my reality [show] because they know with me, it’s not scripted. It’s all the way real.”

Segments from the trailer tell a lot about what he has prepared for this season of ‘Gotti’s Way,’ besides him and his wife quarrelling in front of the kids, be prepared for more cameos from Ja Rule, with some from Russell Simmons, and Diddy, basically all the executive heads in New York. The first show of the season aired this past Tuesday (May 5) on VH1.

50 Cent & Dr. Dre Prepare ‘Before I Self Destruct’ for Release

New York, NY – As the final touches are being put together for Eminem’s ‘Relapse’ and his release date draws closer, it seems as though Dre’s work isn’t done just yet. Apparently, the heavyweight veteran producer has taken 50’s ‘Before I Self Destruct’ back into the lab to lay down some new material. With the amount time they have before the release, it should include newer tracks with a better incorporated sound from the Doc himself.

Sometime last week while promoting his new video game ‘Blood in the Sand,’ and taking a break from shooting his new film entitled ‘Twelve,’ he took some time and discussed the re-developed album with MTV News, providing the fans with an update on his next LP.

These were his comments:

“I just got back from Detroit, prior to me starting ‘Twelve.’ [With] Em and Dre finishing up the record, it’s clear for me now, creatively, ’cause we got Em completed. His album is mixed and mastered and ready to be presented to the public.”

50 continued stating that the reason he decided to go back into the lab with Dre was because he felt the album wasn’t quite finished. The new beats he heard from Dre caused him to push his existing material to the back burner and re-record new material:

It’s about 30 percent of what I had when I felt like I was finished. The production, Dre made a lot more of the music that’s on the actual album now. I rewrote some concepts. To me, sometimes it would sound like I’m absolutely out my mind if I played you the music, but it gets dated. I’ve been playing it for myself for so long. I’m no longer as excited as I was when I wrote it for the first time.”

At press time, 50 nor Interscope has yet to schedule or announce a release date for the upcoming ‘Before I Self Destruct.’ This album is said to be his final album under the current contract with Interscope, this plus a Greatest Hits album, however 50 stated that he would release a sequel, like that of Eminem with ‘Relapse 2,’ sometime after the drop of Em’s second installment to ‘Relapse.’
