Queens Rapper Ja Rule who was once one of the biggest artist in music during the early 2000’s is set to serve two years in prison stemming from a July 2007 gun charge where him and Lil Wayne were arrested. Lil Wayne has already plead guilty and served his one year sentence and was released this year. According to MTVNews.com, the plea deal was reached this morning(Dec. 13)in a Manhattan courtroom, during when the Murder Inc. and Rule plead guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, which is a class D felony in the second degree. If  Ja Rule had gone to trial and found guilty, he could have faced up to seven years in jail. Rule is likely to serve around 16 months in prison followed by a year and a half of probation, reports MTV. Ja Rule is expected to be sentenced in February 2011.
