Jay-Z Graces DJ Khaled’s Go Hard Remix

Miami, FL. – After the huge success of DJ Khaled’s and Kanye’s ‘Go Hard’ off of the ‘We Global’ LP, speculation was going back and forth of when and if even Hova was going to grace the remix. Apparently, Jay-Z gave Khaled an early Christmas gift. If was inevitable that Jay was to omit a verse alongside his brethren Kanye as the song suited his swag. The Runners track has yet another heavyweight voice on the highly successful track. DJ Khaled recently spoke to MTV News on how the verse came about and when he received it.

These were Khaled’s comments to MTV News:

“I got the verse on Christmas Eve! Christmas Eve! What a huge Christmas gift! I had that [original] ‘Go Hard’ record and I told [Jay-Z’s A&R rep] Lenny ‘S.’ Santiago that I would love to get Jay on there. I always said to myself, it never hurts to ask”

“I made sure I told Lenny the truth: that it’s a dream to work with Jay and I’m a fan of his music. I kept telling him we will make more history. So time passed, I never really knew if he was going to do it, so I let the song go and kept it moving. In my head I said, ‘We will work together one day.’ I always knew hard work pays off. I wanted this bad!”

At one point months passed without any word from Lenny or Jay about the verse, then all of sudden, Khaled receives it on Christmas Eve, wrapped up with a bow.

Jay-Z is like a jedi. He just knows when to make his moves and when to do something. And Jay-Z felt like I deserved the verse. I really appreciated that they believe in me. We the Best! ‘Go Hard’ is so good!”

At press time, the track has surfaced all over the internet as free downloads. It’s not certain whether or not Khaled approved the leak.

Ying Yang Twins Performs at Sobe Live on New Year’s Eve

Miami, FL – This New Year’s Eve, Miami’s well-known hotspot, Sobe Live hosted one of the biggest events to kickoff the last hottest event of year. Between Micha Entertainment and Mosobe, Inc., they were able to secure the wildest group in the game today, A-Town’s Ying Yang Twins.

Fans were filling in as early as 9pm to enjoy the night before the midnight hour when the ball dropped. DJ Element and D1 the MC kept the music playing and the whole club hype. It was an interesting night, as there was open bar until practically midnight, so you know the crowd was quite loose.

The Ying Yang Twins didn’t hit the stage until approximately 2am as the crowd was still gathering in after the passing of the midnight hour. As soon as they hit the stage, the crowd immediately went wild; all you could hear was ‘Hanh!’ throughout the whole club. Both D-Roc and Kaine introed with their newest single before commencing with their hit single from 2003 ‘Salt Shaker’. They later continued with ‘Georgia Dome,’ ‘What’s Happenin,’ and later they went into ‘Shake’. The crowd enjoyed their performance, you could tell from the crowd reaction and the loud cheers. All in all, it was an experience to see the Ying Yang Twins perform live. Honestly, they are a couple of interesting characters, not only was it entertaining, it was also comedic.

Special thanks to Micha of Micha Entertainment and the staff members at Sobe Live for a spectacular year and always providing 24hourhiphop.com with entrance and VIP Status, much appreciation through the whole year.

DMX Pleads Guilty in Arizona

Cave Creek, AZ – In the ongoing media coverage of the Darkman X, his legal problems continued to rise during 2008. It has been confirmed that X has made news headlines on negative coverage more than any other rapper in the industry for the 08.

Apparently, earlier this week, DMX pleaded to several charges in Arizona stemming from lesser counts of animal cruelty, theft, and drug possession that he acquired earlier in 2008. The charge of ID theft was dropped, while the other charges stood. The warrant was issued earlier this year from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department for his arrest for failing to appear in court. X was later found and apprehended at the residence of heavyweight producer Scott Scorch in Miami and later extradited to Arizona to face his other charges. As far as the charges he acquired in Miami, he received a plea bargain for the drug charge.

DMX is scheduled to appear in court on January 30 for sentencing. I guess you have to face the music sooner or later. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news on DMX’s legal problems.
