Today Jay-Z released the second single off his ‘American Gangster’ album entitled ‘Roc Boys (And The Winner Is).’  American Gangster is going to be released on November 6 just following the release of the movie on November 2.

Jay-Z revealed that Nas does make a guest appearance on the album as well as Pharell who is featured on the 1st Single ‘Blue Magic.’ He also confirmed that Timbaland is not officially on the album yet, but he could still make it and that Kanye West is not on the album. 

‘American Gangster’ was inspired from Denzel Washington‘s character in the movie in which Jay-Z said influenced his decision in making this album. The album has a beginning, middle and end just like a movie. He also wants to shoot a movie for the album similar to what he did with ‘Streets Iz Watching.’

He also clarified that his album is not the official soundtrack to the movie. Def Jam will be releasing an official movie soundtrack however.

American Gangster the movie in theaters November 2 and ‘American Gangster’ album by Jay-Z in stores November 6.
