Shawn "Jay-z" Carter used his powers for goods this week when he announced he , along with his 40/40 club would begin boycotting Louis Roderer Cristal the manufacturers of cristal champange. A press release went out yesturday June 14 stating that Jay-z would Stop Selling the champange in his establishments.
      The announcement comes one week after cristal’s managing director spoke out against the support the Hip-hop community gave the high priced champange.

"It has come to my attention that the managing director of cristal, Frederic Rouzaud, views the Hip-Hop culture as "Unwelcome attention" I view his comment as racist and will no longer support any of his products through any of my various brands includeing the 40/40 club nor in my personal life"

This is what  the Def Jam exec said in the press release. He was responding to several comments Rouzaud made in the "Economist Magizine" in which he said that the company viewed it’s association with "curiosity and serenity" and that they viewed the Name-checks in rap songs as " Unwelcome Attention" Incedentally  Jay-z’s named checked the cristal in his hit single "Hard Knock life"
