Chicago, IL – In what appears to be a double homicide, the mother and brother of Oscar-winning vocalist, Jennifer Hudson, was found shot to death at their home in the Southside section of Chicago this past Friday afternoon (Oct. 24). Authorities are saying that the deaths are the cause of domestic violence, but are not releasing any further details to the media. According to police reports, a suspect was apprehended late Friday night and is being held for questioning. The man suspected of the double murder is said to be a relative by the name of William Balfour.

At press time, an amber alert has been issued for a missing child who is the nephew of Jennifer Hudson. His name is Julian King and is approximately 7 years old, police are still searching for the child. According to the Chicago Tribute, Balfour is a suspect in this case, but has not been brought up on charges.
