Czar Entertainment CEO Henchmen (born Jimmy Rosemond) joined efforts with Jean’s organization Yele Haiti, which was founded to establish projects in education, health, environment and humanitarian assistance. The two visited with children from the L’Athletique d’Haiti soccer program, donating some 200 pairs of sneakers and soccer balls to the young athletes.

“The deplorable conditions that I have witnessed in Haiti has created a sense of urgency to get involved and assist with the rebuilding efforts,” Henchmen said via statement. “As a Haitian-American, I am extremely proud to be able to donate to the children of Haiti. As a man of influence within the community, it is my responsibility to increase awareness among the hip-hop generation.”

In addition to their visit with the children of L’Athletique d’Haiti, Henchmen and Wyclef also met with government officials in Haiti to discuss current conditions and improvement practices. With nearly an 80% unemployment rate, Haiti is currently the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, with the majority of residents living on less than $1 per day; and because of constant civil unrest it is also among the world’s most dangerous climates.

In addition to Game, Czar Entertainment has also worked with Brandy, Mike Tyson, The Notorious B.I.G. and Lauryn Hill.
