Juvenile Pleads Guilty And Avoids Jail Time

New Orleans rapper Juvenile was slapped with a suspended three-month jail sentence and six months’ probation after pleading guilty Friday to misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Juvie was arrested after officers responded to a complaint of the smell of marijuana smoke coming from his home. When officers arrived they found a small amount in the house and arrested three men in the home including Juvie.

A factor which led to Juvie not having to face jail time is one of his co defendants taking responsibility for all of the weed found in the house.

G-Unit Finds New Distribution Deal

G-Unit Records despite being a huge name in the game has been without a label home for almost a year now. After being dropped from Interscope Records 50 has not taken his camp anywhere despite several rumors of his going to Def Jam. Well now it is official and the Unit has signed on with EMI Label Services to market, promote and distribute releases from the label.

The first release under the new deal will be the follow up to Lloyd Bank’s Hunger For More Debut with the aptly titled Hunger For More 2. Banks himself speaks about the new deal with excitement and says he believes EMI is dedicated to win.

“It’s refreshing to see the EMI staff excited about my project, they have the passion and energy I haven’t seen in while.”
