Legendary MC and who some consider invented hip hop Kool Herc, is suing
Jay-Z, Bruce Ratner, and The Barclay family, all of which are partners
in the 4 billion dollar Atlantic Yards Project. The project plans to
bring the New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn and build a massive stadium for
them to play in as well as over 6,000 apartments. 

Anyway here’s where
it gets interesting. Apparently The Barclay Family had ties to
the slave trade and Kool Herc is accusing both Ratner and Jay of
working in concert with them to qoute “Profit from the African Slave
Trade through a conspiracy dating back hundreds of years and continue
to date to oppress Black people, enslave them, unlawfully deport them
to all corners of the Earth.
