At a concert this weekend in New Haven, CT legendary rapper KRS-One was hit by a bottle thrown by
an angry fan. The story goes the rapper was doing his set when a fan jumped on
stage uninvited.

Well of course security rushed him and was taking him off stage
when the man got a hold of a glass bottle and chucked it at the Blast
Master!  The bottle hit KRS in the face and hand causing the fracture
in his right hand. The crowd was ready to jump on the man being escorted out of
the club but KRS told them to quote “Let it go, let it go.” KRS continued to
perform for a few more minutes but then had to cut it short due to the pain
caused by the fracture. After he was treated at the hospital KRS refused to
press charges against the bottle tosser but the clubs owners did.

KRS released a brief statement on the incident mainly
focusing on keeping the peace : “Let this be an example as to how we stop
the violence,” KRS-One said.  Well I really don’t know how a man
tossing a bottle is a reminder of how to stop violence but…okay I guess. KRS is
currently on a nationwide tour to promote his “Stop The Violence” campaign,
however due to the recent injuries he will have to postpone several dates.
