Hip Hop icon Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to 3 months in Federal prison for failing to pay over a million dollars in overdue taxes.She will also be required to serve an additional 3 months on house arrest after she is released from prison.Lauryn plead guilty last year to tax evasion in the amount of $1.8 million in income earned from 2005-2007.The legendary artist stated she always planned on paying her taxes but when she took a hiatus from music she was unable to afford too.So how did she pay the 900k to uncle SAM,well Lauryn announced via her face book that she just signed a deal with Sony music to record a new album.

I’m a huge Lauryn Hill fan so i hope she can put this all behind her and get back to making great music,I’m sure she has a lot of pain to share with us!!!
