Formerly one of New York’s biggest drug kingpins, Larry Davis was
stabbed to death with a piece of cold metal called a shank last night
in the Shawangunk Correctional Facility where he was serving a life
sentence for drug related murders. His attacker stuck him in the back,
arms, legs, chest, face… well let’s just say he got
him everywhere.

Davis was legendary in the streets with several DVD
documentaries about him floating around telling of his days as one of
the toughest dealers in the city and also about his infamous shootout
with police in 1986 when they tried to arrest him. Davis was a fugitive
for 17 days after the shootout before eventually being captured and
sentenced to 30 years. He received his life sentence in 1991 when he
murdered another inmate behind bars.

There were talks among several
industry insiders including Damon Dash to make his life into a feature
film, although it is unclear now as to whether or not those plans will
continue. Larry Davis was 41.
