Lil Wayne Discusses Preparation of ‘Rebirth’
Los Angeles, CA – The anticipation into Lil Wayne’s next album continues to rise as any new material from Weezy is worth the wait. We waited nearly 3 years for the release of ‘Tha Carter III;’ fans assume any new album possible from Wayne would take the same amount of time, well not necessarily. It seems as though his Rock debut, ‘Rebirth,’ will arrive sooner than we expected.
This past Sunday night after the MTV Movie Awards, after handing Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus the award for ‘Best Song from a Movie,’ Wayne spoke to MTV News concerning the release of ‘Rebirth.’
These were his comments:
“Expect great music. That’s all I ever want them to expect from me. I wanted to grow and show my growth as well, it’s a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you’re better and everyone says, ‘How did you do that”‘ So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains.”
Miami heavyweight producers Cool & Dre even had time to speak on the upcoming album as one of the main production teams on the album. These were Dre’s comments on Wayne’s Rock debut to MTV News:
“The best way to describe the Rebirth record is that it’s a Lil Wayne record. It’s where Lil Wayne is right now in his life and career — he’s expressing himself musically. ‘Prom Queen’ came out and that’s a rock record and so everybody is like, ‘He’s putting out a rock album and he’s on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.’ Yeah, there’s some rock records on there, but there’s also some records where he’s rapping. It’s a Lil Wayne album. It’s what you expect from Lil Wayne, where he’s at creatively.
It’s almost like where Outkast was when they made Aquemini. It’s still a rap album, but was it really a rap album compared to all the other rap albums at that time” Andre Benjamin was evolving artistically to where he’s at now — Wayne is doing the same thing, and he’s not afraid to show you his growth. It’s one thing we respect about him, and we feel it’s something that everybody else should respect about him … he shows no fear. To put himself out there, you’re watching someone as they progress in their career.”
At press time, Lil Wayne’s Rock/Rap album ‘Rebirth’ has been confirmed to be released on August 18.

This lovely day I would like to touch on cheaters. Super brief! Why be cowardly why not go after what you really want”

“No seriously I have no patients [sic] for any of it but the problem is women usually blame the women. I am here to say the husband is way more at fault.”
The divorce papers between the two artists were filed in Los Angeles citing “irreconcilable differences” as the main reason. The couple nor their representatives have commented about the divorce or the eventful night with Maxwell and friends as yet.
