New Orleans, LA – Live on stage at the Hornets Arena, Lil Wayne opens up to the crowd expressing his love for his original stomping grounds, New Orleans.  “It’s good to be home, New Orleans,” the sold-out crowd showed nothing but love and support for the New Orleans native.  Lil Wayne is currently on his own tour, The “I Am Music II” tour, which includes tour mates Porcelain Black, Mix Master Mike, Travis Barker, and Miami native Rick Ross.  Other appearances included DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, Chris Paul, & Drake.

Going into the first quarter of Lil Wayne’s performance, he performed “A Milli” & “Got Money” featuring magnolia emcee Mack Maine.  He then went into performing “Go DJ” shouting out to DJ 45 “We in my hometown! You got some bounce for me?” Not long after, Lil Wayne went into paying homage to fallen hip-hop icons such as the late Soulja Slim.

As Nicki Minaj enters into her performance, she asks the crowd, “So, y’all are Hornets fans? Usually I invite someone from the audience onstage. But today, there’s someone special.” Nicki was referring to Chris Paul as he smiled at the crowd looking pleased with being honored for the night.
The crowd went berserk when Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine joined Wayne for “Every Girl.” Later on, Ace Hood came out and performed his new single featuring Lil Wayne “Hustle Hard”. Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee, Gudda, Mack, and Millz later performed “Bedrock,” which soon after Birdman appeared on stage for a rendition of the track “Fire Flame (Remix).”

As the night was coming to an end, Lil Wayne revealed his final surprised guest, Drake who performed “Miss Me’ and “Forever.” Drake made it known to his fans that he was still a part of the Young Money family. “I wanna say one very important thing to you before I go,” Drake stated. “I wanna let you know that New Orleans was truly the birthplace of my career. Y’all were the first people to fuck with my music, and I recognize that. And just know that I’m Young Money forever, and this is my motherfucking brother, and I love you, man,” turning to Wayne. To end the night, Wayne made sure to promote ‘Tha Carter IV’ album, having the crowd repeat the release date back to him. May 16, 2011!!!!
