Rappers Ja Rule and Lil’ Wayne,
were both arrested for weapons possession last night in separate
incidents. Each rapper was arrested and charged with criminal
possession of a weapon.

According to reports, Ja Rule
and two associates, were arrested around 10:37 p.m. on the Upper West
Side of Manhattan, New York, for speeding. A .40 caliber pistol was
found inside the vehicle.

Lil’ Wayne was arrested shortly after his performance at the Beacon
Theater. Police say they saw the New Orleans rapper and an
acquaintance, smoking marijuana near 61st Street and Columbus Avenue
around 11:30 p.m. Police discovered a .40 caliber pistol.

Coincidentally, Lil’ Wayne is a featured artist on Ja Rule’s latest single, “Uh Oh.” Rule is schedule to release his seventh studio album The Mirror on September 25 on Mpire / Murder Inc / Universal Motown Records.
