Lil’ Wayne has reportedly been sued by two Tampa Bay, Florida
promotion companies for missing a concert date and refusing to reschedule it.

According to the Associated Press, Nunoise Entertainment and Jahfari Promotions
filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court on Friday (January 19).
The suit claims Lil’ Wayne (born Dwayne Carter ) signed a contract on September
18 to perform at a Tampa nightclub on October 29. The New Orleans bred rapper
was obligated by the agreement to schedule another performance in the Tampa
Bay area, if he missed the date they agreed upon.

The promoters assert Lil’ Wayne returned a $15,000 deposit after missing the
event, but still owes $45,000 for canceling. The promoters also claim the cancellation
caused more than $200,000 in lost profits. "He did miss a date, he admitted
he missed a date, and he was supposed to make it up," said attorney Marlowe
Blake, who is representing one of the promoters. "It’s a simple breach
of contract type of matter."
