The tireless Lil Wayne had a big night at the BET Awards this weekend, winning major awards and making major announcements. The first good news he gave was that he was to be the father of a newborn son “in the next couple of days” as he put it. This came as a total surprise to everyone as he has somehow managed to keep this on the hush hush for an entire nine months. That’s some good PR work if you ask me. There is no news on who the baby mama is but I’m sure we’ll get a nice tell all book within the next five years so we’ll get to know her quite well.

The other big announcement he made was that he will be re-releasing the Carter 3 but with all new songs. That’s right, a brand new version of the Carter 3 is coming soon, not to be confused he pointed out with the Carter 4, which is slated to drop next year.

Doesn’t make sense to you? I know me either. But hey in Wayne’s World sometimes you just have to sigh and accept things. He didn’t give any timeframe for the new Carter 3 but said to expect it “soon”. This will be good either way to hear some new Wayne. As long as he keeps pumping out quality hip hop music, I’ma keep  bumpin it.
