The acclaimed ‘Best Rapper Alive’ has become officially the #1 hottest rap artist all over radio and television. Lil Wayne has been practically everywhere, all over mixtapes, music videos, feature tracks, and, of course, the media. His next album is most definitely the most anticipated album to date and statistics have said that he is liable to reach platinum status within its first week of opening sales.

Cash Money, in general, has had a lot going for them in the past several months, after signing Miami’s own Cash Money Brother, Brisco, recently Miami based mega group, Dunk Ryders, and most recently Glasses Malone, CM is obviously keeping their reign at the top and holding on strong.

Apparently, Lil Wayne has made his final confirmations to what the cover of Tha Carter III will be. 24hourhiphop.com leaked the rumor a couple of weeks ago about a infantile Weezy covered with the face tattoos that he comprises now on what looked like a photoshop cover has officially been confirmed, the cover is genuine. Fans won’t have to ponder any longer; the album has been officially set to be released June 10, 2008, along with a tour still in final negotiations. All the new Cash Money signees are set to grace the stage with Weezy himself sometime this summer.

On a phone conversation with MTV from Miami, this is what he had to say about the album and his #1 single across the world, ‘Lollipop.’

“I don’t feel like nothing, I feel like I ain’t got nowhere yet. I ain’t do nothing yet, actually. But I’m trying to live off everybody’s happiness.

He continues to add that this album won’t comprise skits and that he will omit different versions of his new single A Millie:

“I’m not gonna have skits on the album. The different versions of ‘A Millie’ will be where the skits would be. It’s gonna be like I’m calling home and the person who’s on that track is gonna be, like, inside Tha Carter at that time. Only people I put on there is all new artists, artists I think is gonna be in this music shit for a long time. Tyga, Corey Guns, Hurricane Chris, Lil Mama, Brisco. It’s gonna be ill. On the video, I’m introducing my artist, Lil Chucky. He’s 13 years old. He’s hot in the South. He’s got his own part for ‘A Millie’ too.”

Now with the official album cover, he gives credit to his mother for the picture:

“That’s me! All day. No computers. Only thing (photoshoped) was the tattoos. My momma gave me the picture for me to put on the album cover. I don’t know where my momma found that picture. My momma, she gave me that and one more. If you would have saw the other picture, you’d be like, ‘She got too many pictures.'”

He even mentioned comments about the unofficial remix of Lollipop dubbed by Young Jeezy and omitted his own remix on the verge of release:

“That’s not the official remix, but Jeezy is real crazy. I love that one, but it’s not the official remix. We gonna put out the official remix two weeks before the album comes out. Also, you know I don’t do no remixes. This is kinda like a first for that too. You never heard a ‘Go DJ’ remix or a ‘Hustler Music’ remix or a ‘Block Is Hot’ remix. This is the first remix. The person we picked to put on there, he told me something about the verse. He said this was the first song to make him wanna jump on a song again after a certain situation. I took that into consideration and said, ‘This is the one we wanna run with.'”

And as soon as that is released or leaked, we will have that for you available for download in our On Demand section as always, you know how we do!
