By now most of you should know who Dewayne Michael Carter, Jr. aka Lil Wayne is. After basically being raised in the music industry, this once young untouched talent spent the first 9 years of his life like most kids that was raised in his surroundings of New Orleans. School, child play and the simple life in the hood all changed for Wayne right around 1991 when he was discovered and put on by Cash Money Records. Like most child stars that rise to great fame and glory, their was a hefty price to pay.
After watching Wayne grow up in the business during the last seventeen years of his run, most of us ask the question, what the hell is up with this kid. It seems as if once he hit the start of his peak as a solo artist in 2007, life in Wayne’s world has been one nonstop ride that involved much drug use, beef, erratic behavior and nonstop health concerns.

Lets take a moment and look at some of Wayne’s not so hot, but memorable moments of his career:

  •  Dropped out of High School at age 14 to pursue his music career.

  • On December 18, 2009, Wayne and 11 others were detained at the Falfurrias, Texas border patrol checkpoint after an unknown amount of marijuana was found on two of his tour buses.

  • During March 2011, Hip Hop producer Deezle (Darius Harrison) sued Wayne and Cash Money Records over unpaid royalties from Tha Carter III album.

  • In May 2011, producer Bangladesh filed a lawsuit against Wayne for unpaid royalties.

  • In June 2011, producer David Kirkwood filed a lawsuit against Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records on claims that the labels neglected to pay him over $1.5 million for royalties and production services.

  • June 2011, producers Play-N-Skillz filed a lawsuit against him claiming Wayne owed them $1 million in unpaid royalties for “Got Money” which was featured on his album Tha Carter III.

  • In July 2011, Done Deal Enterprises filed suit against Carter, Universal Music Group, Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment, claiming copyright infringement. The lawsuit accused Wayne of stealing the song “BedRock”, which was featured on the compilation album We Are Young Money.

During 2012 he dealt with several seizures which some claim was brought on from drug use. According to his publicist and close friends, the seizures were brought on by epilepsy.

In addition to a long criminal wrap sheet, lawsuits, erratic behavior during various interviews and issues from growing up in the hood, Wayne also has had a slew of beefs that are similar in comparison to a WWE feud. Jay-Z, 40 Glock, Pusha T and NBA star Chris Bosh & most recently Trick Daddy claim the top of this infamous list. All we can do now is ask what’s the next big issue that he will face?

Hopefully by the time this story makes the rounds nothing else happens to this N.O. Hip Hop legend.
