R&B
vocalist Lloyd has been conquering the airwaves of late with his latest single ‘Lay
It Down,’ a track produced by heavyweight Polow Da Don. That one single alone
spawned two official remixes, one that featured the vocal talents of legendary
Patti LaBelle and another featuring Chi-Town’s own R. Kelly and ATL’s Young
Jeezy
. It is obvious that Lloyd has been known for his ballads as in 2007, he
released ‘You’ featuring Lil Wayne and an official remix featuring Nas and
Andre 3000 for his sophomore LP. With his latest album ‘King of Hearts’ soon to
be released, Lloyd is interested again in requesting the talents of Lil Wayne
and Andre 3000 for another hot single for the 2011 run.

The
young Chi-Town vocalist has already locked down both Lil Wayne and Andre 3000
for an upcoming track and official third single entitled ‘Miss That Pussy.’ Guess
Lloyd stop being subtle and went straight to the point. He recently spoke to Vibe
Magazine, stating that he missed how it be when R&B artists can mesh with
Hip-Hop artists on the same track simultaneously and make hits under one cause.

MTV
News
states that Lloyd is working closely with producer Polow Da Don the
upcoming on the project and has even gone on record saying that they are making
music that’s comparable to some of the greatest producer/singer combinations of
all time.

These
were his comments to MTV News sometime last year concerning his upcoming album:

“In
my opinion, and this is a bold statement, but it’s like Michael [Jackson] and
Quincy [Jones], it’s like Justin [Timberlake] and Timbaland, Usher and Jermaine
[Dupri]. It’s that consistency that you can only find from really finding the
right chemistry with the right person. As an artist, I can speak for everyone
when I say chemistry is a big, big part of success.”

‘King
of Hearts’ has been set to be officially on April 19, 2011 through Int
erscope
Records
. Keep posted to 24HourHipHop.com for more updated news on Lloyd and his
upcoming album.
