The DTP CEO has been on hiatus for some time now, well on hiatus from the music industry, new original material hasn’t been heard from Ludacris since his last studio LP ‘Release Therapy.’ Apparently, the host of the ‘Southern Hospitality’ has returned with his sixth studio album, which fans have been buzzing about for a while. ‘Theater of the Mind’ will be dropping the same day as Kanye West’s ‘808s & Heartbreaks,’ Luda plans on going head to head with his Def Jam label brethren on their own Soundscan battle that 50 and ‘Ye made famous the year before. With that in mind, Luda is also eyeing a potential tour featuring his ATL brethrens, T.I. and Young Jeezy, he figures since Lil Wayne and T-Pain are going on tour with Keyshia Cole and Gym Class Heroes, it’d be a great idea to do a tour, A-Town style.

Luda recently spoke to MTV News concerning his upcoming album, his ecstatic state of mind, and he also expressed a possible A-Town tour in the works, these were his comments.

“I feel like this album is a collectors’ item, not only do I feel it‘s classic, it’s a collectors’ item. It’s a movement, man. Moral to the story is, this album, I’ll provide you with the audio; the rest is up to the theater of your mind.”

“I haven’t confirmed anything yet, its little talks here and there. But I’ll put it ot there: I would love to do a tour where it’s me, T.I. and Jeezy. Me, Tip and Jeezy would be outrageous. But nothing is confirmed yet.”

Luda uses the word ‘cinematic’ when it comes to the tracks that he’s laid out for his new album, especially with the feature ‘co-stars’ that have graced the tracks.

“Its co-star heavy for me, I’ve always liked working with other artists, whether it’s been me on their song or me inviting people on other songs. I worked with artists on this album because I loved the competition level; it puts people on their A-game. I wanted to compete against them. It’s competition at its finest. It’s kinda like when you play basketball and you’re friends with people on the other team, you shake hands with people afterward, but its war.”

At press time, both ‘Theater of the Mind’ and ‘808s & Heartbreaks’ will be officially released on November 24. And As soon tour is confirmed, 24hourhiphop.com will be releasing the posted scheduled cities.
