Lumidee, well known for her 2003 hit "Never Leave You (Uh
Oh)," has officially signed to TVT Records.

The Harlem-bred singer has already begun work on her sophomore album, titled
Unexpected, which is slated for release next year. "TVT Records is the
perfect way for me to come back and again I¹m coming out of left field,
just like with ‘Never Leave You (Uh Oh),’ " said Lumidee via a statement.
"Nobody ever thought of me coming back on a street credible label like
TVT, alongside acts like Pitbull, Lil Jon and the Ying
Yang Twins
. Actually nobody ever thought of me really even coming back,
period. "It¹s better then being on a major–been there, done that,"
she added. "TVT is a strong indie and I was able to actually see the boss
as he signed me. It’s exciting for me to be repping a new side of TVT, being
from Spanish Harlem."

The first single off Unexpected, "She’s Like The Wind," which features
Terror Squad’s Tony Sunshine can be heard on Lumidee’s MySpace
page. "We are thrilled to have Lumidee join the TVT family," said
TVT president Steve Gottlieb via a statement. "She is a proven hit-maker
who has not yet shown the world all that she’s capable of. Everyone is in for
a treat." Unexpected is scheduled to hit stores in March 2007.
