50 Cent’s Farmington, Connecticut, mansion was broken into on Tuesday morning (December 21), when two men broke into the rapper’s residence and hid in various parts of the establishment, police confirmed to MTV News.
According to a press release from Lt. Marshall S. Porter of the Farmington Police Department, authorities were tipped off when a member of the rapper’s home security called to report a suspicious car parked in the driveway of the mansion at 6 a.m. Shortly after police arrived on site, another security guard reported that there was a male suspect inside the 52-room residence.
Upon entering the residence, officers found one of the suspects, Alexander Hernandez, “hiding in a closet, drinking a bottle of wine he had stolen from the residence.” Police also located another suspect, Santos Padilla, who was hiding in another area of the mansion, which used to belong to Mike Tyson. Officers searched the entire residence with a Farmington Police K-9, however no other suspects were located.
The duo was arrested and locked up on $50,000 bond. Both men were in possession of marijuana at the time of arrest. Hernandez was released on bond and turned over to police in New Britain, Connecticut, on a warrant. Padilla was still in custody as of press time.
50 Cent, who is usually an outspoken Twitter user, has yet to comment on the incident. (Via MTV)
