The NCAA hit Penn State with one of the stiffest penalties in college history,the punishment was as severe as the death penalty.In the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal the school has been handed a severe blow to the program.
Here is how the penalties are laid out:
- $60 million in fines
- 4 year football postseason ban
- all wins from 1998 – 2011 vacated totaling 112
- the loss of 20 scholarships per year over four years and five years’ probation.
The NCAA also said that any current or incoming football players are free to immediately transfer and compete at another school.
