Saint Louis Hip-Hop star Nelly has been tapped to open the highly anticipated boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito this weekend in Dallas, Texas.

Nelly has been tapped to perform his new single “Just A Dream” for the first time live, prior to the ring entrances of Pacquiao and Margarito.

“In the great tradition of major sporting events blending with superstar musical talent, this megafight is the perfect stage for a big live music performance that will result in a truly memorable event,” said HBO Sports senior vice president Mark Taffet. “We are thrilled to have the live television premiere of Nelly’s ‘Just A Dream’ as part of the Pacquiao-Margarito PPV telecast.”

The fight, which airs live on HBO PPV on November 13th, also features a 10-yard undercard welterweight fight between Philly fighter Mike Jones and Jesus Soto-Karass.

Jones recently sat down with AllHipHop.com and discussed the upcoming bout with Soto-Karass.

“I’m looking to box a little bit more. Karass is pretty much a bruiser; he likes to come straight in at you and throw a lot of punches,” Mike Jones told AllHipHop.com. “I’m going to give him angles and a good jab. We’ll see how he handles that.”
