For the past couple weeks since Fox announced the launch of former American Idol judge, Simon Cowell’s brand new show ‘X-Factor,’ news has been circulating all across the net that several different artists were being sought out for potential judges. One of those potential artists the media was referring to just so happen to be the reigning femcee in Hip-Hop right now, Nicki Minaj. The Young Money femcee is recently on tour and still promoting the release of your prized debut, all the while Cowell is making plans to get her onto his show.

Nicki Minaj recently spoke with MTV News about the situation with X-Factor, during the interview she couldn’t hold back switching into her ‘Martha’ alter ego and with a British accent, gave her comments:

“I can’t talk about that, but I love Simon very dearly, he’s such an amazing man. I had the pleasure of meeting him and my life will never be the same, darling. I told him that. I was absolutely in love with him prior to meeting him. And now that I’ve met him, it’s like I dream about him every night.”

When she switched back into her normal self and with her normal voice, concluded with:

“I know the show is gonna be dope ’cause Simon is dope and I wish them luck.”

Simon Cowell was recently interviewed by XXL Magazine and during that interview, he spoke about Minaj and their first encounter discussing various business opportunities, one not being X-Factor. These were his comments:

“We spoke to Nicki actually about a lot of projects, it wasn’t specifically about this, but we were just very interested to meet her. I’m a big fan of hers. So I don’t know if it’s gonna be this show or something in the future, but it was definitely somebody I wanted to meet.”

He continued on praising the Young Money femcee:

“Off her own back she’s had a phenomenal year last year and she’s gonna have a phenomenal year this year. She’s very smart, very influential, very bright and along with artists like Jessie J. You can’t ignore them and sooner or later they have to be in our world and we have to be in their world.”

Auditions for the show began sometime over the weekend in Los Angeles and will continue on until May visiting various other cities.
