Polo Grounds Music recently announced they have signed R&B sister act Nina Sky to their 2008 roster.

As a part of the new deal, the twin duo, comprised of Nicole and Natalie Albino, is expected to release their sophomore album The Musical in early 2008. Previously expected for release earlier this year on former label Universal Republic, The Musical will now include some fresh new tracks, as well as music recorded for the originally planned set.

Nina Sky will be joining Hurricane Chris on the newly formed Polo Grounds label, which wasfounded by music industry veteran Bryan Leach. Known for his contributions to hip-hop’s Crunk movementasformer
Vice President of Urban A&R at TVT Records, Leach also currently
serves as the Senior Vice President of Urban at J Records.

“We are excited to be a part of the Polo Grounds Music/J Records
family,” Nicole of Nina Sky said via statement. “We can’t wait to begin
working with Bryan [Leach]
on our new album because he understands the Nina Sky movement. We are
confident that, together, we can take our project to the next level.”

Since landing on the music scene with their 2004 hit “Move Your Body,” and appearing on hit tracks with N.O.R.E. and The Alchemist,
the New York group have won over R&B and hip-hop audiences with
their melodic voices and winning energy. In addition to their strong
vocal prowess, the Puerto Rican sisters are also gifted songwriters and
instrumentalists (they play the guitar and the drums).

“We are on a roll right now, but it gets no better than signing an
act of this caliber! Nicole & Natalie are just getting started with
their careers so we’re lucky and excited to have them as part of our
PGM family,” Leach added.

The Musicalis expected for release in early 2008 with appearances from Trey Songz and Rick Ross, as well as production from Cipha Sounds, Cool & Dre, Salaam Remi, Ryan Leslie, The Jetsons, and Scott Storch.
