American Idol to Lose Another Celebrity Judge

New York, NY – Fox Network’s biggest show on television, American Idol, has been a huge buzz amongst the media most recently as the upcoming season has been set to air the beginning of 2010. Talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, is on board to replace the seat that Paula Abdul vacant when she abruptly departed from the show in August of last year. More news has developed over the course of the weekend stating that another celebrity judge might be considering the same move of resignation towards the end of his contract in 2010.

Tony Cowell, Simon’s brother, announced to media outlets that his brother, the spiteful outspoken judge, will leave the show at the end of his contract in 2010. However, even with the departure of Cowell, Fox Networks has apparently stated that they will move forward with or without him. It seems as though after going through the situation with Abdul, another wrinkle in the timeline won’t budge them anymore. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers of the number one show on American television have signed on with Fox for three more seasons, pushing them directly into 2011. Additional reports states that Cowell is quite keen on bringing his British music hit competition show, ‘The X-Factor,’ which is similar to American Idol, to the U.S. Fox Networks already have plans on airing ‘The X-Factor’ on primetime television in the fall of 2010, but due to constant delays, the debut for ‘Factor’ could possibly be pushed back to 2011.

Although Cowell has been considered the antagonist of the American Idol series for quite some time now, he is the most trusted judge when it comes down to advice and criticism. His departure would mean that the only remaining judge of the original three from the debut season will be musician/producer/songwriter, Randy Jackson alongside second-year judge songwriter, Kara DioGuardi, and newcomer celebrity judge, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

At press time, The Hollywood Reporter states that Cowell’s departure from ‘Idol’ will add much needed attention to the upcoming debut of ‘The X-Factor.’ However, at the same time, Fox is considering Cowell provide a smaller role in ‘Idol’ limiting him to only judging the Hollywood rounds and not the audition rounds in order to keep the show strong.

I must admit, Simon leaving ‘American Idol’ might cause a huge blow to the show’s viewers, all depending on who they hire to replace him though. Being the most arrogant, most hated, and the most blatantly rude judge on the show’s history is the main reason that he garnered so many fans. Sometimes considered as the dry comic relief, his good advice to the contestants is one of the main reasons they are number 1. Let’s just see what happens towards the end of 2010, I’m curious to know who the producers choose to replace that heavyweight empty slot.

Lil Wayne Discusses Studio Work Ethic on New DVD Preview

As DJ Scoob Doo continues to release previews into the upcoming DVD, ‘The Nino Brown Story Pt. 2,’ all the fans are getting a huge dose of watching Wayne in the studio practically recording his material. Scoob Doo releases the recording sessions of the recent ‘No Ceilings’ mixtape in the midst of its craze upon its circulation. For quite some time now, Wayne has deliberately been rapping over other MC’s beats, just because he can do that and we all are aware what he did with the Mike Jones’ beat for ‘Sky’s the Limit’ some years back.

This new preview focuses around his work ethic as he takes his fans on a virtual tour. DJ Scoob Doo adds some comments about Wayne’s work ethic on a positive note, giving him major phrase:

“It’s phenomenal to see somebody at 7 o’clock in the morning or 8 o’clock in the morning, after being in the studio a good 10, 12 hours, and still having fun. You’re going to see him laughing at himself. He’s not listening to anybody tell jokes. He’s listening to his own words, he’s listening to his own raps, and he’s having the best time of his life.”

Wayne’s recording sessions are maniacal or so I’ve heard. His love and dedication to his music is the reason why he is where he is today. Through countless mixtapes, he was able to outshine other artists on their own beat. However, in his thoughts, the beats are cheaper than buying or new one from scratch.

“I don’t like to do real songs up there, because the producers be wanting their money. So just do shit that’s already out, because it’s easier that way.”

In retrospect, he ignores what people are saying about him destroying other artists original tracks:

“‘You killed that n—a on his own song!’ That’s not the intentions, brother. No, I did not kill nobody on their own song. I like the song; that’s why I killed it. I didn’t kill them. I’m not even rapping like them.”

At press time, Lil Wayne still awaits his court hearing that will reveal his sentencing. That is scheduled for February of the upcoming year.
