Beyonce & Jay-Z finally Wed after Six Years

New York, NY – Earlier in
the week,
24hourhiphop.com reported
that the two most celebrated couple in the industry,
Jay-Z and Beyonce, signed a marriage license that would last them
approximately 60 days. It didn’t take long for them to plan a wedding, as
People.com
reports that they tied the knot in a private
ceremony in Jay’s New York home last Friday (April 4). Speculations are saying
that it wasn’t a wedding, but a celebration.

With the long history that
these two have had in the past six years, they have finally gotten married.
Even after rumors circulated last year of their wedding, this might just be
another widespread speculation. However, reports still say that in a small
ceremony held at his Tribeca apartment, reports say they exchanged vows and
celebrated with a lavish party. Many relatives and celebrity guests were in attendance
for the grand event. Other reports have stated that Jay has been seen in his
usual set, minus a wedding band, so the marriage still isn’t definite.

At press time, Jay-Z has
also secured a recent $150 Million deal with
Live Nation and Beyonce is still filming her role as Etta
James in the upcoming biopic ‘Cadillac
Records.’

Definite or not,
24hourhiphop.com sends our Congratulations to the
Royal Hip-Hop Newlyweds, as they finally tied the knot since their relationship went public in
2002. On the real, I believe that his major deal with Live Nation is part of a
chain reaction that finally made him come to a final decision. Either way,
married or not, it’s still a good look for the both of them.

Remy Ma & Papoose plans Wedding in Rikers Island

As I reported last week in
my
On the Clock Report, Papoose finally made public his rumored relationship with
the
Bronx native, Remy Ma, well
apparently they’ve been engaged for some time now and plan to marry sometime
this month. Obviously her arrest wasn’t part of the plan. Nevertheless, prison
wasn’t going to deter her wedding with Papoose, where it’s stated, that she
loves very much. The both of them have agreed to wed in
New York City’s
Rikers Island, which sits in the East River between Queens and the mainland Bronx.

A spokesperson for the New
York Department of Corrections said that over 200 weddings are performed each
year at Rikers Islands and they include chapels as well as chaplains for the
ceremony. With strict rules that only two guests are permitted to act as
witnesses and rings are not to be worn with protruding gems.

At press time, Remy is
being held without bail until her arraignment on April 23. If convicted, she
could face up to 25 years in the New York State Penitentiary.

Talk about a real ghetto
wedding in prison of all places. But I gotta admit, they do have that loyalty
amongst each other, especially Papoose. If they go through with it, that’ll be
big news for the
Hip-Hop world, I
guarantee it.

Great Britain Appeals Snoop Dogg’s Entry Into the Country

London, England – News from
across the
Atlantic has stated that Britain’s
Border Agency has issued an appeal to a court
decision to allow
Snoop Dogg back into
the country.

Within the next week or so,
the Border Agency has stated that during a scheduled hearing they are going
forth with challenging the decision to allow him back into the country after an
incident that occurred in 2006 left him barred from entry. Apparently, in 2006,
during a scuffle with British authorities at the London Heathrow Airport, Snoop
and five of his associates were arrested on charges of violent disorder after
seven British officials were injured. It is stated that the trouble started
after a few member of his entourage were denied entry into a
British
Airways first-class lounge at the London
Airport. After the arrest, British authorities thought it wise not to allow any
further visits from
Tha Doggfather into
their country, as in March 2007 he was forced to cancel a tour with
Diddy
due to a denied Visa. During an immigration
tribunal in January of this year, Snoop successfully defeated the ban and received
entry clearance.

Honestly, they need to stop
hating on the man, I can understand he caused a fight within the Airport and
beat up some officers, but all that damn force wasn’t necessary, including
banning him from the country, let’s be real, that is some insane decision
making. You be the Judge.

Lil Jon Starts Winery

Los Angeles, CA – Lately,
the once crowned
Crunk King has fallen
out of the limelight and fans started to wonder what he has been doing as of
late. Apparently,
Lil Jon has decided
to open his own Winery and has already included selections of Chardonnay and
Merlot.

With the widely successful Crunk!!!
Energy Drink still on the market, Lil Jon
decides it was time to get into a more distinguished drink and delves into
Wine. With the assistance of winemaker
Alison Crowe out of California, they both decide to open the Little
Jonathan Winery. Lil Jon states that he’s
taking a more serious approach with this venture so he decided to use his name.

Lil Jon left this statement
to
The Associated Press concerning his
venture into winemaking:

“It kind of came out of nowhere, we were just going
to do some private label stuff for parties and we did it, and people was like,
‘Hey, it’s pretty nice.’ I’m not no `drink wine every day’ kind of dude, I’m
not like an expert, so don’t ask me no questions, I just like the taste.”

He adds this comment as to
why he used his stage name instead of ‘Crunk.’

“My full name is Jonathan. The wine is more nature:
I wanted to not just have a direct connection, but make it just a little bit
more upscale than regular ‘Lil Jon.’ This is not no ghetto Boone’s Farm; this
is some real wine.”

At press time, Lil Jon has
completed his next long-awaited album, ‘Crunk Rock,’ however he is still
awaiting the resolution of his label TVT’s filed bankruptcy.

At least he’s doing
something for himself and not broke. Hopefully his new album will be a hit and
can gain the attention of the nation as he did in 2002 with ‘Kings of Crunk,’
unless the fans have already forgotten about him and his Crunk genre. Has Crunk
officially died? What do ya’ll think?
