Jay-Z in No Rush to Complete The Blueprint 3

New York, NY – Jay-Z has been known to complete an album in less than 3 weeks. His speed and rapidness have inspired many artists to go paperless and hope to deliver the same powerful lyricism in their tracks. Jay’s first two ‘Blueprint’ series were completed in very short periods of time due to excessive amount of material pre-recorded and especially the short time span it takes him to complete any track. However, with this third installment, he has chosen to lower his speed and work more on concept and quality than rush another soon to be classic.

Hov has told many media outlets including MTV News that with this album he doesn’t see the need to rush. He plans on making this last Def Jam LP ‘above and beyond’ his past albums. I guess Jay wants to end his contract with Def Jam with another certified masterpiece. With Kanye West at the helm of the production, that shouldn’t be too hard, you can expect a dynamic album with two of the best fused together.

This is what Hov told MTV backstage during the Eve for Change Concert at Obama’s Inauguration in D.C. concerning the reason behind taking his time:

“For me, the process of making an album is difficult with so many things going on. And me, I wanna make it beyond and above. I’m gonna take my time with it. I don’t have any quotas, and that’s a good thing. It may be too freeing. It’s a good thing and a bad thing. You know, I think I need some restrictions. Cause if I had restrictions, I would have done it in three weeks. I would have made what I believe to be a great piece of art.”

The man believed to be behind the head of production for ‘The Blueprint 3,’ Kanye West, even found time to add his own statements to MTV News concerning the process of the album and the direction they plan on taking it. This is what was said sometime in November of last year:

“We went in, and we [did] the whole album. He wanted to do a few more joints, so he kinda pushed it back. Now we’re gonna go in and just work on some more records. So I got some more stuff to kill it with! I think [Jay pushed the album back because] ‘Swagger’ just did so incredible. We wanted to go up [and make sure] everything was on that level.”

At press time, there has not been a release date set for the album neither by Jay or Def Jam. However, he plans on releasing it first to second quarter. As of now, he has three singles out that include: ‘Swagger Like Us,’ ‘Jockin’ Jay-Z,’ and ‘Brooklyn Go Hard.’ All three tracks have subsequently leaked to the net sometime last year. Not to mention he recently guest featured remixes of DJ Khaled’s Go Hard with Kanye and Young Jeezy and Nas’ My President.

And yet another album of epic proportions to add to a list of classics by Hova. The Blueprint 3 is said to be his last on longtime Def Jam imprint. On the real, I look forward to this album, his material has always been impeccable, and I mean you can date his work back to ‘Reasonable Doubt,’ before the signing to Def Jam. I have yet to be disappointed by any of albums to date. I’m quite interested in knowing what production and sound he plans on incorporating into the album.

Lil Wayne Next Studio LP to be Rock Album Entitled Rebirth

New York, NY – For quite some time now, we’ve known Lil Wayne to engaged into learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to being an expert guitarist. It has been a known fact that Weezy considers all music to be explored in his eyes. He has recently been seen doing his shows with a segment where he’s seated strumming on the strings of a black guitar and with Kid Rock during the CMAs playing rhythm guitar with the band. Now, news reports hit media outlets a couple of weeks of ago that Wayne was interested in releasing a full-fledged Rock album, well apparently it has become official.

According to MTV, Lil Wayne announced that his first Rock album will be entitled ‘Rebirth’ and will be officially released on April 7. He recently sat and spoke with MTV News on his tour bus about the upcoming projects he has in store for 2009 and beyond.

These were his comments:

“I don’t know if we’re gonna release Tha Carter IV now, I think we’re gonna release Tha Carter III — a new Carter III with none of the same songs, though. None of them. Not one! We don’t wanna call the [next album] we got coming out Tha Carter IV. That was the dilemma we were in. We want Carter IV to be what everybody wants it to be.

This is something brand new, so we don’t want it to be some experimental thing, ’cause some people are not gonna like this. I don’t want them to not like Tha Carter IV. But I do have an album coming soon, very soon, and it’s gonna be called Tha Carter III: The Rebirth. The birth of a new beginning.”

At press time, Lil Wayne’s first single for his upcoming acclaimed Rebirth album will be entitled ‘Prom Queen.’ It will be debuted via Myspace.com on Tuesday (January 27). According to Wayne’s representative, plans on ‘Tha Carter III: The Rebirth has been pushed back and changed because of his most recent project. Wayne will also be performing live at the Grammys on February 8, where he is also been nominated for numerous awards.

Wayne is at a stage in his career where he can just practically do anything and it will probably be considered a masterpiece in the long run. From going platinum in one week and being the most requested artist in the game, doing this Rock album will probably increase his fan base, depending on how he delivers this project to the world. I’m actually looking forward to hearing this album to see what he brings across the table as of ideas and concepts. Let’s see who he decides to grace the album with him from the Rock world besides Kid Rock and Gym Class Heroes.

50 Cent States that Eminem’s Relapse is Just About Done

New York, NY – 2009 should be the year of reckoning for Aftermath as all three major icons plan on releasing albums within weeks of each other all according to G-Unit General, 50 Cent. Between Dre’s long awaited ‘Detox,’ Em’s return LP ‘Relapse,’ and Fif’s ‘Before I Self Destruct,’ This just might be year that Aftermath reigns in their return to dominate the game as they did years prior.

Recently, 50 Cent let some air out on Em’s upcoming ‘Relapse’ as he told hollyscoop.com that the album is in its last stages of completion. This was his statement to the website:

“[He’s] currently mixing his album right now. So it won’t be more than maybe two weeks before [the label] starts figuring out the scheduling of the release of his actual project.”

It never fails when it comes to 50 Cent always having to have his name somewhere in the lights when he’s making reference to other artists, whether it is his label mates or not, he didn’t fail to mention that he will be gracing several tracks on that soon to be prolific LP.

“You don’t think I’ll take advantage of that opportunity for everybody to look at me and listen to me? Yes, I will.”

At press time, Aftermath nor Interscope have yet to secure a release date for both ‘Relapse’ and ‘Detox,’ but both albums are slated to drop this year according to many sources. 50 Cent’s ‘Before I Self Destruct’ has been scheduled to be released on February 3, while Eminem states that he’s looking for ‘Relapse’ to drop sometime in the spring. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news on three albums.

Dammit, they need to hurry up. It has been 5 years since we’ve had any album from Eminem. Hiatus, what hiatus: that was a semi-retirement. And not to mention Detox, I don’t even want to get into Detox, 9 years, what the hell?!? I’m not even worried about ‘Before I Self Destruct,’ that album will destruct itself on its own, unless by some miracle the album is actually good and Fif redeems himself, his last album was horrible. Let’s just wait and see what the Aftermath camp has brewing in the pot for their fans in 2009.
