Lil Twist Speaks Highly of Mentor & CEO Lil Wayne

Los Angeles, CA – It seems as though almost everyone amongst the Young Money is earning their keep and working their own projects. Twist is currently on the 106 & Park” Closer to My Dreams Tour and during a stop in Los Angeles he got a chance to speak on his experiences with his mentor and what he learned from his CEO Lil Wayne.

MTV News caught up with Twist while on tour in L.A. and sat down with the Young Money during his down time. The artist had a lot of positive attributes to say about his mentor Lil Wayne.

These were his comments:

“I’ve learned a lot over the past five years from my brother Lil Wayne, seeing him on tour since I was very young,” Lil Twist told MTV News. “So you’re going to see a lot of energy like he gives at his shows. Not the same, but a lot of swag.”

And while being a member of Young Money does have its perks, Twist jumped at the chance to speak upon Wayne’s upcoming mixtape entitled ‘Sorry for the Wait,’ as he had the opportunity to have an early listen:

“It’s amazing, it’s great, it’s outstanding and, he’s rapping. He’s going in and y’all are gonna love it.”

As far as the forthcoming highly-anticipated ‘Tha Carter IV,’ Twist was also excited about saying some words on that note:

“I’ve heard it all, yes, we’re in the studio every day, every night, till the morning, till sun up in Miami, so I’ve heard it all.”

He was even proud to state that he has his own feature on the project:

“It’s called ‘Flowers.’ I can say it may make the mixtape, it may not. Because it’s for C4, and it’s also for Sorry For the Wait. It’ll make either one, maybe both.”

At press time, Twist is currently working on his own projects, one being with that of a collaborative mixtape with Justin Bieber, whose rap moniker is apparently ‘Shawty Mane.’ At the same time, like the fans, he awaits the arrival of ‘Tha Carter 4’ set to drop on August 29.

Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for more updated news on Wayne’s upcoming ‘Tha Carter 4’ and the rest of the Young Money camp.

A collaborative mixtape with Justin Bieber? !? Now this boy wants to get into the ring with rappers, I think he’s been hanging around Hip-Hop a little bit too much, but let’s see how this pans out. And yeah, ‘Tha Carter 4,’ that shit needs to hurry up and drop, push it up a week or two.
