Nick Cannon Responds to Eminem’s Diss Track

The situation between Eminem and Mariah Carey have been commencing back and forth for quite some time now. Em has repeatedly claimed a relationship between MC and spoken on it upon numerous occasions especially throughout his songs since ‘The Eminem Show.’ MC has continued to deny the claims even through the public and the media.

Now on Em’s latest LP to the world, he returns with a track entitled ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad,’ where he goes a little bit deeper into MC and this time around, Nick Cannon as well. At first, Em apologizes for the song not to take it any further after Cannon expressed his anger on twitter following his first knowledge of the track. Weeks later, MC responds with a somewhat diss song she entitled ‘Obsessed’ which allegedly deals directly at Eminem. That track has already become a major chart topper with remixes including Gucci Mane and Ja Rule, it is basically her first single from her upcoming album. Now we all know Shady and we know he wasn’t going to let anything slide. At first he stated that he wasn’t going to continue the charade with MC and Cannon, he even stated that he was done. Somewhere down the line, the track ‘Obsessed’ really angered Em as he immediately returned over the weekend with another leaked track entitled ‘The Warning.’ On the real, this track really goes in on MC, the man is threatening to expose her with everything he has in his arsenal from voicemails to pictures. His lyrics come quite personal atop a pivotal Dre track. He even has voice samples of MC throughout the song. Em is back!

Nick Cannon recently expressed his thoughts on the song, yet again, on his twitter. Some of his comments even deals on biblical terms. While he didn’t directly name Eminem, the address is clear:

“Quote of the day: ‘Never argue with fools because from a distance people can’t tell who is who. “Be patient in the moment of anger and escape a hundred days of sorrow!” (often erroneously cited as a Chinese proverb) he followed up. Four minutes later, he tweeted Booker T. Washington’s quote, “I will permit no man to narrow or degrade my soul by making me hate him.” Never take your own revenge, but rather give place unto the wrath. For it is written that vengeance is mine, I will repay … PREACH! (from Romans 12:19). Also in there was another Bible quote, “I will bless those that bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse,” from Genesis 12:3.

No one but a fool would measure their satisfaction by what the world thinks of him, (quoting Irish poet Oliver Goldsmith). Trying to save a hater is like trying to teach astrophysics to a wino!”

At press time, both Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have yet to respond verbally to the verbal attacks that Em has deliberately directed towards the couple. Eminem has yet to comment on his song or that of ‘Obsessed’ either.

Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news as this situation is still in the developing stages.

Let’s be real, Eminem literally murked Mariah and Nick on that one. Those verses are quite personal and talks about shit we don’t even know about. And now Nick Cannon wants to preach his responses to Em, like he’s really saying anything. Let’s see Nick dig himself a deeper hole and write a diss song about Em to protect his wife, Em will destroy his already fading career. Maybe Nick should just stick to what he’s good at, whatever that is; I have yet to find out.

Drake Blogs during Recovery from Knee Injury

As Young Money continues their tour on America’s Most Wanted Music, it seems as though they will have to continue on without the talents of new signee, Drake. Last Friday during a concert in Camden, New Jersey, Drake collapsed due to the pressure he put on his knee during his ‘Best I Ever Had’ performance onstage. The following day, Lil Wayne announced that Drake will not be performing until further notice and that he will be going into surgery.

Drake went on to blog on his website commenting on his situation with his knee surgery keeping his fans up to date:

My spirits are high my friends. I am about two hours away from Toronto, Canada, where I will be spending the next chunk of time recovering from a surgery that I now must have. I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL and LCL, and due to the events that happened the other night, lord only knows what other damage I have done. On the bright side, I will begin the reflecting and soul searching that it’s going to take to make this album, and my outfit on the night I fell was crack. I will forever push myself beyond the limits, despite advice and recommendations given, because even with this newfound success, I am still the kid who wanted this more than anything in the world.

It’s funny, when I read comments from previous fans who have lost interest because of the radio play and exposure I have, I just want to assure anyone reading that nothing has changed on my end, I refuse to get comfortable, I refuse to fall in line and follow anyone else’s formulas. I still work as if So Far Gone had never dropped, and I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to gain entry to this game.”

At press time, there is no word on whether or not Drake will even return to the tour due to his knee surgery, but it is sure that his label mates will keep him in high hopes throughout all the dates scheduled.

It’s sad to hear that happen to any artist, hope he recovers soon and gets back on his feet continuing his tour with his label mates. Now Lil Wayne can carry the show by himself like he always does.
