West dies at 58

West, mother of Hip Hop sensation Kanye West, passed away
on Saturday Night in Los Angeles due to unknown complications. At the
time of his mother’s death, Kanye West was reportedly in London, England. 

Dr. Donda West was a teacher,
a scholar, and the former chairwoman for the Chicago State University.
As a dedicated mother to her son, she was always by his side at award
shows and parties. After 31 years of academia, she left her career to
serve as Chief Executive of West Brands, LLC, which is the parent
business enterprise of Kanye. She also published a book in reference
to her son called “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of
a Hip-Hop Star.” At press time, her cause of death has not been released,
she was 58.
