Rick Ross & Triple Cs are taking the World by Storm
New York, NY – For long as I can remember, Rick Ross and the Carol City Cartel have been on the grind even before the initial release of ‘Hustlin.’ That record eventually skyrocketed Ross into international stardom, taking the city of Miami with him. Now if you know Ross like we all know him, he never falters in bringing his brethren along for the ride. Triple Cs, which originally consisted of Gunplay and Torch with the recent addition of Young Breed, have been grinding alongside Ross for quite some time, and now their time has come around full circle where they are about to embark on their own status of international stardom.
The team of Triple Cs and Ross has been in the studio working nonstop periodically completing their debut album to be released in October. Their recent double mixtape ‘Maybach Music 3: White Sand’ was just released to keep fans at bay until their debut ‘Custom Cars & Cycles’ is eventually released. Heavyweight artists that include: Young Jeezy, Mack 10, The Game, and Gucci Mane have already confirmed their guest features on the upcoming debut. They’ve even recently gone to war with boxing champ Floyd Mayweather.
Ross recently spoke to MTV News about the members that make up the infamous group Triple Cs. These were his comments:
“Gunplay, unorthodox energy, he’s uncut. He’ll jump off that roof. Torch is much more laid-back. He’s much more technical with his flows. Breed is the projects, that’s the gutter. He just wanna have on a pair of $150 shoes and show his teeth and bounce around and do it for the Dunk Ryders and the D-boys.”
Recently added member, Young Breed, even spoke his mind adding to what Ross had to say about his style:
“I’m bringing that young gutter side. We just fucking up some money, basically.”
In addition to the recent release of the double mixtape, CD and accompanying DVD of ‘White Sand,’ Ross in depth on the meaning behind the exclusive title of the certified street album:
“White Sand, the title goes back to the hustling roots, you out in the jungle. You can’t stop. No matter what you doing, you gotta act like you got everything on the line. It ain’t no stopping us. It’s one of the hottest mixtapes that’s out right now.”
At press time, Triple Cs just completed the video for their first single entitled ‘Go’ which features the talents of Birdman. ‘Custom Cars & Cycles’ has been set to be released on October 27.
On the real, I’ve been listening to Triple Cs for a minute now and their music has always been on the hype and wildin’ outside. And now that their debut is on the verge of release, the world will finally get to hear what we’ve been hearing. Congrats to Triple C, they deserve it, especially with their amazing patience.
Jay-Z Discusses Kanye West’s Rude Outburst at the VMAs
New York, NY – Regardless of the fact that this year’s MTV VMAs aired last week and the events are far behind us, people are apparently still talking about Kanye West’s rude and embarrassing outburst towards Taylor Swift during the live airing. Even though Kanye has since apologized about the outburst and admitted fault, people still seem to think that his apology wasn’t sincere.
One person who wasn’t too surprised of the outburst that was heard around the world was that of the icon Jay-Z. He recently spoke to BBC Radio about his producers actions and admits it was wrong was still defends his image and persona.
These were his comments:
“He’s just a super-passionate person, and of course it was rude because it was [Swift’s] moment, but that’s the way he really felt. [But] he’s been that passionate from his first record.
He used to jump on tables … I was trying to make the first Blueprint, he’s jumping on tables, rapping, and I’m like, ‘Yo, not now.’ That was just him. He’s always been that passionate.”
Regardless of the fact, Hov still told Kanye that it was wrong and that he destroyed that girl’s moment:
[I told him] I think it was rude, [and] that he has to watch his passion. At the end of the day, we’re going to celebrate him for his passion more than vilify him [for it], because his passion, which caused him to make Graduation and all these great records, is the same thing that causes him to step out of line sometimes. So as he grows, he has to learn how to balance that. And he’ll learn that in years to come. That passion right there … that wasn’t fake or staged — it was how he really felt, and it was just inappropriate. It wasn’t fair to Taylor.”
Hov believes that it is time everyone to continue on, as the events occurred last week. He states that Kanye already apologized and it was said and done:
“I mean, it’s an awards show, really, and I think it’s a bit blown out, he’s on the cover of every paper; he didn’t kill anybody. Nobody got harmed, I don’t think he should lay low; I think he should go on tour and have a brilliant career. It’s an awards show.”
At press time, Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint 3’ is still topping the charts especially being on the billboards for several weeks now. The album sold 476,000 copies its first week and has become his eleventh number one album to date.
I wasn’t too surprised myself with Ye’s act of rudeness, doesn’t he always seem to make an ass out of himself at every MTV Video Music Award Show? It never fails that his name will always be in the media for weeks after the event, however this time I think he went too far. Passionate or not, Kanye was expressing his honest feelings about Beyonce’s video and between Ye, Jay, and Beyonce, I mean they’re a tight knit family between the three anyway, so they will defend each other.
