Rihanna Drops Charges and Reunites with Chris Brown

Miami Beach, FL – It seems as though the storm as cleared for the two R&B vocalists that made news due to that serious altercation a few weeks back that caused them to miss their scheduled Grammy performances. News reports are flaring left and right that Rihanna and Chris Brown have reunited and are staying in a house on Star Island in Miami Beach owned by Diddy. Chris Brown was even seen on a jetski going back and forth within the intercoastal waterways in a delightful mood. Somehow the founder of the Bad Boy and Sean John Empire has gotten involved and loaned out his estate in Miami Beach to the two so they can apparently reconcile their differences.

Reports have been surfacing on many different media outlets that the two were seen together at the state in Miami. Family members have come forth and commented to the outlets stating their confirmed reunion. Rihanna has even gone forth and dropped any charges she had against him for the attack in Los Angeles. According to reports published in People.com, unidentified sources close to the couple left comments about the two and how they’ve been getting along thus far. These were the comments that were posted on People.com sometime over the weekend:

“They’re together again. They care for each other. While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

Sometime last week, Rihanna just recently turning 21, the source told People.com that he contacted her, calling her to wish her a Happy Birthday:

“He called to wish her happy birthday. They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.”

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has even spoken out about the support that he has given his daughter during the course of this whole charade. This is what he told US Magazine:

“I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday and she told me she’s OK.”

At press time, the Los Angeles detectives are still investigating the altercation between Brown and Rihanna. The case has yet to appear in front of a District Attorney. Representatives from Brown, Rihanna, nor Diddy’s camp have come forth to release any official statement confirming their reunion.

So why is Diddy getting involved between these two? What does their love quarrel have to do with him? Honestly, I really don’t think it was a good time for them to reunite so shortly after the incident that took place; they should have given it a little more time to pass. Hopefully, Brown does not lose his temper again and wild out on Rihanna for his sake, he still has a lot of people angry with him about the how the whole situation went down, some of them are even artists. Our blessings go out to Rihanna.

Cam’ron Speaks to Jim Jones After Years of Silence

New York, NY – After years of being missing from the game, you would have assumed that 50 Cent destroyed his career as stated by 50, or that Cam’ron admitted defeat somewhere down the line and just went on indefinite hiatus. The last time we heard from this former Dipset member, he was intertwined with 50 in an escalated feud that lead 50 to release a track emulating Cam’s funeral. Now after years have passed, Cam has emerged from the shadows and has come back into the limelight. Different tracks from his upcoming ‘Crime Pays’ LP have surfaced all over the net proving that he was making an effort to return to the music scene.

Apparently Cam has been working with New York’s Hot 97 to plan a concert in May for the release of his upcoming studio LP ‘Crime Pays,’ at the same time; he also states that he wants to return to the station’s famous Summer Jam in June. MTV News recently spoke to Cam’ron about his recent climb back into the industry. And of course, they discussed the situation with the rest of the Diplomat crew and what status was with them, will Cam grace the stage with Jim Jones and the Dipset family like it was before?

This was what Cam’ron told MTV during a one on one interview:

“You never know, you never could say never. Right now, I’m kinda like in Cam zone. They been doing what they been doing for the past two or three years, but I’m kinda in Cam zone. But you never could say what could happen in the future. Right now I’m kinda in the Cam mind frame.”

He continues to omit the relationship between him and the rest of the Dipset family and how they’ve been in touch, however not so much with Juelz Santana:

“Hell Rell and J.R. Writer, they always check in. Everybody has been reaching out. I’ve been the one kinda saying Cam is going to take time do Cam, but Hell Rell and J.R. definitely been reaching out. I called [Freekey Zekey’s] phone four or five days ago and Jim picked up Zeke’s phone. Me and him spoke for about 10 or 15 minutes, but me and Zeek speak all the time. I haven’t spoken to Juelz.”

Within that interview, he told MTV that he and Jones had a brief conversation after Jones picked up Freekey Zekey’s phone. Cam’s description of that short and simple phone conversation was pleasant and cordial:

“It was cordial. He knew it was me. He said we was gonna holla, maybe we’ll put something together. But in the immediate future, I’m just doing Cam. But you never know what can happen down the line. I called Zeke’s phone and I guess Zeke gave Jim the phone to pick up. We just talked, asked about each other’s family. He said he’s on a promo tour. He’d be back soon. That was that.”

And now with the situation with Juelz Santana, they haven’t spoken because Cam admitted to the press that his beef with Juelz was over the addiction that Juelz had with Syrup. Juelz denies ever having any addiction to the substance, but Cam still stakes his claim:

“I’m not going back and forth with him [in the media], I wasn’t lying. I was asked a question and I answered it. I’m sorry if he’s upset.”

At press time, Jones nor Santana have yet to comment on their standing with Cam. As of now, this brief conversation with Jones was just icing on the cake. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news as this alleged Dipset Reunion is still in develop.

Is it just me or does Cam like repeating himself? Anyways, if you listen to some of his recent tracks that were leaked to the net, some of his lyrics have somewhat improved. He was always a mediocre rapper to me, but he’s getting better. Either way it could work both ways for Jones and Cam, Jones will still have the spotlight, but Cam will be next to Jones trying to regain his status. And another thing, let’s be real for a second, you really think that Juelz isn’t addicted to Syrup, the man is literally best friends with the syrup fiend Lil Wayne, they’ve even have a long awaited album coming out for the past couple of years. What was the title again, ‘I Can’t Feel My Face?’

50 Cent Aims to Take Presidential Seat at Def Jam

New York, NY50 Cent is on a warpath of destruction in targeting both Rick Ross and DJ Khaled and his next strategic move, infiltrating their home base of operations, Def Jam. At the current moment, 50 is still under contractual agreements with Interscope to release one last album and a greatest hits LP and with everything, he has the option to renew that contract, but nonetheless he is not a free agent as yet. Interestingly, that hasn’t stopped him from having his sights aimed high.

In a recent discussion with Angie Martinez of New York’s Hot 97, he boldly stated to her that he wants to take the seat that Jay-Z left vacant at Def Jam. 50 is setting his future on becoming the new president of Def Jam after his contract is done at Interscope. And of course, the obvious reason he chose this future goal is rid the company of his foes Ross and Khaled and other rappers he’s not fond of.

These were his exact comments to Angie about his recent decision to secure the presidential seat at Def Jam:

“When I run Def Jam I’m going to get rid of all of them. Khaled, all of them, they’re going baby, I don’t think that’s a bad idea if I have to go to get rid of Khaled and a few other artists over there that I really don’t like.”

At press time, we are aware of the other artists on the historic label that 50 isn’t quite fond of. Now case in point if 50 does take the seat, Nas, Fabolous, Kanye West, even Young Jeezy might have a fall from grace if 50 had any say in it. Keep in mind though that Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid mentioned that he was good friends with 50 during this whole controversy with him and Ross.

I must admit, if Def Jam does decide to take this man seriously on his pledge to run for the presidential seat, there will be a lot of changes in the rap game. Of course he would sign G-Unit onto the imprint, bring Aftermath and Shady into the mix as well. However it is not possible that he will ever do a better job that Hov, but then again you never know. Will Hip-Hop be in state of turmoil? You be the judge.

There is even a video that was posted on ThisIs50.com of him stating his claim on becoming President of Def Jam on Hot 97. Angie even calls him a Bully:
