Swizz Beatz Continues to Confirm Upcoming Dr. Dre Detox

New York, NY – For the past several years, Dr. Dre and Aftermath camp members have been telling fans and the media alike to focus on the upcoming ‘Detox.’ At one point in time, the media even began calling it the ‘mythical album’ that will never hit the selves. Most recently, earlier this year to be exact, Dre himself came out of the studio and confirmed it himself and so every other interview into the album since then has been credible, including this recent one with Swizzy.

MTV News continued to inquire Swizzy about the upcoming ‘Detox,’ his words to that were, ‘just be patient:’

“It’s just been a great experience for me, whether they go on the album, whether they don’t go on the album,” Swizz said of his time spent in the studio with Dre and the songs they’ve recorded. ” ‘V.I.P. Chillin’,’ I took that one for myself, but I would gladly give it back to him anytime he wants it back.”

However, the NY producer is actually really fond of Dre’s performance on the aforementioned song:

“He’s energetic. He’s vibing in a way that you’ve never heard him before,”So even if he don’t put that one particular track out, I’m blessed to have the blessing from him to have it for my album.”

In addition to that, Swizzy added:

“Dre has amazing songs and I think everything is worth the wait. He’s a genius, he’s a legend and it’s just no getting around that. Everybody just gotta chill out and let that man do his thing. He’s a master at what he does, hands down.”

Dre has been known to drop hits, drop a masterpiece at that. So with his upcoming ‘Detox,’ there’s another one:

“Don’t ever count a master out. I’m never counting a person like Dre out.”

How long has it been since Dre’s initial announcement, 6, 7 years? When this album does come out it’s going to cause a major wrinkle Hip-Hop time. A review will hit the site immediately.

Eminem Speaks on Movies & Transition from Music to Film

New York, NY – Keeping within the realm of Aftermath, Eminem has been flourishing all on his own especially after the release of ‘Recovery’ that has been called to be his best comeback album since going multi-platinum. Even when it came to his empire, Shady Records and the signing of Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, Eminem works are beginning to rise. Aside from the collaboration album between him and fellow Detroit emcee Royce Da’5’9, Em has some film projects in the works as well.

During his interview with MTV’s RapFix Live, Havoc of Mobb Deep asked Em about his next movie. According to Em, he will not sign on to just any movie, the role better be empowering or he won’t leave the studio.

“There are some things in the [works], a couple of scripts, I guess it’s more so of just waiting now to see how they come together. Obviously it’s gotta be something that I feel is dope enough to make me want to say, ‘OK, let me put the mic down for a second and go do this movie.’ There are some things that are in the works. I guess we’ll just see how they come together.”

And when it came to movie roles, he states that rapping and acting have a lot in common and he even quoted Ice Cube:

“I think Ice Cube said this one time, that if you can rap and you can perform to the camera for singing and things like that in videos, it should be a fairly natural transition, I know that everybody can’t do it, it’s not for everybody. But I did hear him say a lot of times it should be easy because they kind of coincide. You’re used to doing that.”

Eminem received a lot of nods in Hollywood with his portrayal of Jimmy “B-Rabbit” Smith in ‘8 Mile,’ a film based loosely on his own life, Em’s acting résumé has been rather limited, including his first debut in the ‘Car Wash.’ It seems as though he’s been focusing on his music, he also has a respect for the acting craft is part of the reason he hasn’t completely jumped into Hollywood.

“Making that transition I felt like, ‘Oh, this might be fairly easy,’ and it wasn’t. It’s a whole different thing because you may be used to performing to the camera and you may be used to doing certain things in videos and things like that, but it’s a whole different ballgame when the music is off and you have lines that you need to say. Remembering the lines and trying to be natural and what am I going to do when I say this line, it’s different. It takes a minute to get used to.”

It would actually be interesting to Eminem in another major role besides ‘8 Mile.’ Let’s just wait and see what he has in the works, as of now, his music will definitely do.
