Watch the Throne Set for Pre-Order on the 4th of July
New York, NY – Jay-Z and Kanye West collaboration album Watch the Throne continues to grow more and more with anticipation as album draws close, however still without a release date, Apparently, because of the high anticipation and the amount of fans that have talking about it, Def Jam has now begun taking pre-orders starting today Monday (July 4). Even a release date has yet to be listed; the shipping date on customer receipts is listed for August 2nd.
The album cover art for the forthcoming album was released today and already gotten fans extremely hype. The album’s cover is metallic gold, with what looks to be embossed graphics. Neither Hov or Ye’s name appear on the cover, the title of the album is also not printed on the front. The cover itself is divided into 30 panels and folks who click on any one of the panels will be taken to a page where they can pre-order the CD. Once they click to pre-order, fans are then re-directed to the Island Def Jam website where they a purchase sheet will be provided.

The cost for the deluxe CD has been set for the price of $16.99, while the standard CD has been set for $13.99. The album will available in MP3 versions; with the deluxe copy going for $14.99 and the standard digital album priced at $11.99. Shipping costs and taxes are not included within the price of the album and will be separate.
Last Wednesday (June 29), G.O.O.D. Music new signee CyHi the Prynce confirmed on ‘RapFix Live’ that the album was done, ready for release, but still not confirmed with a release date.

“They are ready to go. Right now, all the music and everything is done,” CyHi told Sway. “But you know my guy — we over here with [Kanye], so ‘Ye is gonna add his last little pizzazz, and it’s going to be ready for you guys soon.”

NYPD Destroys 5,000 lbs of Confiscated Fireworks
Bronx, NY – Bomb Squad technicians today destroyed approximately 5,000 pounds of confiscated fireworks at the NYPD firing range in the Bronx.
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly and Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano today reminded New Yorkers of the dangerous consequences of transporting, buying, selling or using fireworks. In New York City, all consumer fireworks are illegal, and individuals caught buying, selling or using fireworks will be arrested. This year, the Police Department has confiscated more than 5,000 pounds of illegal fireworks, ranging in size from sparklers to professional pyrotechnics. Police have also arrested 70 individuals and seized six vehicles in connection with the transport of illegal fireworks.
FDNY Fire Marshals in the Firework Enforcement Unit have made 20 arrests for the sale, use, storage and/or transportation of illegal fireworks, and have seized more than 300 cases of fireworks valued at more than $25,000. New Yorkers are encouraged to view the safe, free and spectacular Macy’s fireworks display, the nation’s largest, which begins at 9:00 PM on Monday over the Hudson River.
