While
wrapping up Be Out Day, Rick Ross, City of Miami Gardens Mayor Shirley
Gibson and State Representative Oscar Braynon II were on stage when
random shots were fired in the air near the park where Be Out Day was
held. The stage area was shortly cleared but not before Rick Ross
returned to the stage with his celebrity friends to provide the
children and their families a brief performance. Rick Ross stayed at
the park later to sign autographs and mingle with the audience to make
up for the disturbance. Ross explained, “some of these people were here
before the event started; I couldn’t just leave them hanging because of
any disturbance”. Ross continued, “I’m glad no one was hurt and most
importantly I’m glad we were able to provide the Carol City Community
with some needed services”.
