Miami, FL. – With all the controversy that occurred over the past two weeks concerning Jay-Z and Beyonce’s trip to Cuba for their fifth anniversary, Hov added fuel to the fire to cease all the questioning and the investigation by releasing a much-more controversial track entitled ‘Open Letter.’ That song dealt with many different topics and was aimed directly at Congress and to silence critics. Certain verses included within the song caused initial questioning and even made it’s way to Washington onto the White House press floor, putting a new meaning on the phrase ‘news travels fast.’
And of course with all the media hype that this Cuba trip has garnered over the course of those two weeks, Miami-based rapper Pitbull, who does not shy away from politics, decided he should add his own rendition of the song into the mix and direct it towards Congressmen, especially Junior Florida State Senator Marco Rubio.
Pitbull, who is a Cuban-American, used the ‘Open Letter’ instrumental and spoke onthe political issues surrounding the relationship between Cuba and America, while at the same time sending a message to Jay and Beyonce.
“Question of the night, would they have messed with Mr. Carter if he was white?” Pitbull asks on the track. “Happy fifth year anniversary, Jay and Bey. Don’t worry, it’s on me.”
The Miami-native sought to his twitter to announce the release of the song:
