“Da REAList,” the eagerly awaited new album from Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic recording artist Plies, hits the streets yesterday, December 16th – marking the Fort Myers, Florida-based rap superstar’s third full-length release in just under 16 months.  The album – which includes the current hit single, “Put It On Ya” – follows the RIAA gold certified smash, “DEFINITION OF REAL,” which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its June release.

Plies will kick off the album’s release with a number of exciting events, which began with his first-ever webcast yesterday at www.pliesworld.com.  Plies is also launching his own Fanbase, the groundbreaking desktop application offering fans the ability to receive the latest content from their favorite artists in one single download.  The Fanbase application – available at www.getfanbase.com – features an audio player, chat room, photos, videos, and continuous news feed to keep fans updated on all of Plies’ many activities.

“Want It, Need It (Feat. Ashanti ),” the next single from “Da REAList,” will ship to multi-format outlets later this month, including Urban, Crossover, and Rhythmic.  The track is set to impact early in the New Year. What’s more, the album’s “Street Light (Feat. Sean Garrett)” is scoring at mixshows and clubs nationwide, coming in as the week’s #3 rap track at DJBooth.net.  In addition, a new video for the album track, “Family Straight,” premiered last week on Plies’ MySpace page, www.myspace.com/plies, while a video for “Heard of Me,” a further featured video from “Da REAList,” is streaming now on Plies’ YouTube channel.
