Possible 50 Cent and Eminem Joint Album in Works
The mythological joint album between 50 and Em has been a topic on people’s mind for quite some time now. Imagine the two hottest lyricists from Aftermath appearing on one album together collaborating left and right, the idea seems quite interesting. It would literally be an album of epic proportions.
We remember these two collaborating back and forth on the pivotal track, ‘Patiently Waiting’ off of 50’s explosive album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’’ which produced by Em to the title track ‘Encore’ which also featured Dr. Dre. 50’s new album will also include a track featuring Shady fittingly entitled ‘Norman Bates Motel.’ I must admit though, with Eminem on the track, it literally brings out the beast in 50 Cent. His lyrics and his deliver are a step up with Em on the track. Either way, if this joint album does come together it will be a blessing with the situation that Hip-Hop is in right now. I can just imagine Eminem and Dr. Dre doing main production on the track with some help from Timbo or possibly Kanye.
While Eminem has yet to comment on the joint album, jokingly titled ‘Ebony and Ivory,’ 50 Cent spoke to MTV News and provided answers into the question of a possibility.
These were his comments:
“I’d love to. We haven’t [seriously] discussed making an album together, ’cause we would have to sit collectively and create each song, unless we was doing something where half of it was his and half of it was mine. And conceptually, maybe if he came up with the first six songs and I built the last six songs and we just featured on each other’s records, you know what I mean? We’d do that in a heartbeat.”
Keep your fingers crossed, cause I doubt this album will be released anytime soon, just like that of Dre’s ‘Detox.’ Let’s hope the Aftermath camp have more up their sleeves than just two albums from Em and two possible albums from 50. The three-headed monster is back in full effect.

Lil Wayne’s ‘Rebirth’ Release Date Pushed Back
The anticipation into any new material Lil Wayne has in works has always been on an all time high. It took nearly a year for official release of ‘Tha Carter III’ to finally come around and you know how far he went with that. Now with this new album he has in the works for the past several months, I might have to wait a few more as the release date has been pushed back for the third time. We here wonder if Weezy’s rock concept album he has entitled simply ‘Rebirth’ will ever see the light of day sometime this year or even the beginning of next year.
According to MTV News, who received confirmation from Universal, Weezy’s ‘Rebirth’ album, which will be considered a studio album, will now be set possibly for release sometime in fourth quarter of this year. Sources close to Weezy have stated that there are no actual problems with the album or the recording, it is simply that Wayne’s schedule for the past several months have been extremely hectic and he hasn’t found time to continue his work in the studio. Apparently, his workload will continue to expand has he has been set to go on tour yet again with Young Money on ‘America’s Most Wanted Music.’ Even with that, he is also in high demand for album features with several of other Young Money artists in the game, not to mention his own team that is Cash Money and. He has scheduled features with Drake, Birdman, and Glasses Malone for their albums. His Young Money crew alone is working on their own compilation album that requires much of Weezy’s attention.
Now it seems as though ‘Rebirth’ will be just the beginning of a line of albums Wayne plans to release within the upcoming years. The studio beast has his eyes sight on working immediately on ‘Tha Carter IV,’ after the release of ‘Rebirth,’ as soon as he can find some time to get into the studio. Then after that he and Juelz Santana are still in the works of completing their compilation album ‘I Can’t Feel My Face,’ which they’ve been talking about for quite some time now. And it doesn’t stop there, he stated in an interview last year that he has plans on working with T-Pain on an album they’ve entitled T-Wayne and another with Lloyd that will follow the same pattern that Jay-Z and R. Kelly did years back with ‘The Best of Both of Worlds.’ It is obvious that Wayne can work with just about anyone, but can this one man complete all the projects he’s stated in a feasible timeframe.

Fans Weigh In on Chris Brown Apology Video
Just last month, Chris Brown pled guilty to assault and accepted a plea deal instead going to jail. The once R&B sensation is now in great turmoil as his career is literally on a balance beam. Within that plea deal, Brown was sentenced to five years of probation.
This past Monday, Brown and his team released a video online apologizing to Rihanna and his fans about the incident that occurred in February just before the Grammy’s.
These were just some of his words from the video:
“What I did was inexcusable. I am very sad and very ashamed at what I have done. My mother and my spiritual teachers have taught me better than that.”
The release of that video has been met with mixed thoughts from his fans. Some say that it took courage and that they understand, while others say that he was reading cue cards and judged his sympathy for what it really was.
Here are just some of the comments left by fans on MTV News:
“I am so proud of Chris right now! That had to be one of the hardest things he has or will ever do, to face your critics and seek forgiveness.” – Tracie
“It shows so much courage and humility.” – Ben
“I’m glad he apologized, but in my opinion, public apologies mean nothing. He says he will never do it again. Well, I guess we’ll have to see what happens behind closed doors. But I’m happy he said something.” – Diva4real5291
Blah blah blah. He’s still wrong for what he did, and like Oprah said, He will do it again. Never again will I support him by listening to or purchasing his music. – Sonrisas_101
At press time, Chris Brown is currently working on his new album entitled ‘Graffiti’ expected to come out later this year. With all the public outrage against him and his actions, we will have to see where his career stands as of now or if people will even buy his album.
