Queen Latifah’s “Persona” On Imeem

 

Queen Latifah is back with a new “Persona” and a new album to go with it! “Persona” is the Queen’s seventh studio album and with the help of hot mega producers Cool & Dre, Queen was able to update her sound with mixtures of auto tune, mellow reggae, and club-soul sound that gives her that unique edge. While people loved being serenaded by her smooth jazzy tone, some would argue that a rap album from Latifah was way overdo. I’d have to agree. Juelz Santana Charged With Making Terroristic Threats

 

I’m sure all of you have heard by now about the arrest of Skull Gang leader Juelz Santana. Well he has reportedly been released from a New Jersey police station on a $5000 bond. He was charged with allegedly making terrorist like threats towards his alleged girlfriend and will be due back in court as early as next month. The Associated Press reports:

 

“Teaneck police charged Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, with making terroristic threats and possessing a weapon. He’s free on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Sept. 9. Capt. Dean Kazinci says Santana’s girlfriend told police a verbal dispute became physical Tuesday. Kazinci says the rapper told officers the woman was the aggressor and she had the knife. Police say the girlfriend, whose name was not released, had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment”

 

For those who are a little lost in this story, early on August 25, 2009, TMZ reported that Santana’s “wife” called 911 on him after he threatened her.

 

“Juelz Santana, the rapper who’s collaborated with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Cam’ron, was arrested at his home in New Jersey — after his wife told cops he threatened to kill her! Cops tell us they showed up at Santana’s Teaneck home around 10:30 this morning after his wife called 911. According to law enforcement sources, James’ wife did not need medical assistance — but she told police the threat was made in front of a child. The rapper was arrested on domestic charges and is still in police custody.”

 

According to Miss Info, Santana’s rep released a statement which attempted to clarify the previous reports made after his arrest.

 

“Police were called to Juelz Santana’s Home in Teaneck, New Jersey at 10am after an argument between him and his son’s mother. LaRon James p/k/a Juelz Santana was then arrested and after review of the incident, police quickly released him. Santana is now back at his home.”

 

At press time, Santana has yet to make a comment on this situation. No other information has been released.
