New Orleans, LA – Rick Ross has got to be the media pick of the week, between him and his Maybach signees, their work has been spreading like wildfire all across similar media outlets all over the net. The Boss has officially dropped two videos within the same week back to back, one being ‘Pandemonium’ and the other being ‘Play Your Part.’ Both tracks feature Maybach franchises Meek Mill and Wale. After inking the distribution deal through Warner, Ross has been strategically putting together his team plotting the next move.

Even with Ross still being on tour with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Travis Barker on the ‘I Am Music II tour,’ he has still managed to find ways to separate his CEO work with Maybach, while still performing city in and city out. The workload is hectic, but then again this is why he is the Bawse. MTV News caught up with Ross when the tour touched down in New Orleans, his tour mate’s hometown. Sway got a minute to sit down with the Bawse to go over the back to back video releases.

These were his comments:

“We actually filmed three videos in one day, we filmed ‘Play Your Part’ and ‘Pandemonium.’ We actually filmed all the way until 7 a.m., until it was time to go shoot [DJ] Khaled’s ‘Welcome to My Hood’ .”

When inquired, Ross went in on the inspiration behind the ‘Pandemonium’ and it involved all three artists from different standpoints:

“We started in the back, now we the MCs in the front, and that was the way that we all felt. You know, Meek Mill just being released from jail, his whole situation, his father being slain, just his whole story just [smelled] like triumph. Wale’s story and us all sitting in the room and us all believing in our abilities.”

Ross then explained how he actually got D.A. Wallach frontman of Chester French to vocal the hook on the track:

“I sent him the track, and he put an incredible chorus on there and it was swagged out. And when he came to the video, it was just the energy he brought. It was super cool.”

At press time, the Maybach compilation album ‘Self Made Vol. 1’ will officially drop on May 24.
