The battle between Rick Ross and 50 Cent was epic. Not so much in the musical sense as either of them didn’t do much on that end. But the videos and back and forth commentary was hilarious and the beef even gave birth to the now infamous Pimpin Curly. However recently Ross spoke out and said that he is now looking past that and views the whole situation as a mistake.
“That’s the beauty of art,” Ross said. “You can take it and channel it any way you want to. Of course, I realize I put a lot of pollution out there as well that I wouldn’t this year. That was a part of me learning. I’ll forever be attracted to some form of war. I feel it’s competitive but at the same time, I’m focused on my numbers. I’m focused on my business. I’m focused on my brand. I wanna see other things blossom around me, versus back-and-forth with nothing. For the most part, I feel when you prioritize your business, that’s the result — that’s the advice I’ve been given for so long. I’m trying it out.” (MTV)
50 Cent has made no such peace treaty, and he never does so don’t expect one this time. Overall most people feel that 50 won this one, as he does all battles. However most point out that Ross could have easily destroyed him on the mic, but got caught into 50’s lane of making videos and cartoons about the opponent. Ross has his upcoming album Teflon Don dropping July 19th.
