So all these talks of a bidding war were actually true! The boss Rick Ross has officially let the ink dry and will now be taking Maybach Music Group and their talents to Warner Bros. Rozay took to his Twitter, naturally, to announce the news of the merger which undoubtedly is huge for the entire label. As you may or may not know, MMG’s former home was the historic Def Jam, but I’m guessing Ross figured the grass was greener at Warner. Head honcho Lyor Cohen and the “B.M.F.” rapper inked the deal this week and so begins a beautiful partnership. I’m just wondering if Ross owes Def Jam anymore albums? Or Slip N Slide for that matter? [SHRUG]. I can say that my bets were definitely on him heading to Interscope with Diddy and them. Either way, congrats to the entire MMG family! I wish you much success going forward!
