Miami, FL. – Ever since its initial release back in March and the hit singles that have spawned from ‘Trilla’ both mainstream and underground, the hype of the album is still in the air. Within its first week of release it debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 selling close to 200,000 units.

Apparently, after the numbers came in for the second week of May, the album sold over 17,516 copies bringing the total to a 501,566 units sold, thereby reaching Gold status. The sales on the album are still raking in as the album cruises its way to Platinum status. It is inevitable by the way the numbers are soaring; ‘Trilla’ will reach Platinum sales in a very short time period. This is definitely the Year of the Boss. Rick Ross’ next single, ‘Here I Am,’ has been released worldwide and has already gained critical acclaim. The video has already been shot and is awaiting the debut. The track features Nelly and Avery Storm with production from Drumma Boy.

At press time, Rick Ross and his other fellow Miami brethrens will be exclusively featured in the July issue of XXL Magazine. This is undoubtedly going to be the summer of the Gunshine State. Featuring alongside Ross will be Flo Rida, Trina, DJ Khaled, and Brisco. Ya’ll lookout for that as 24hourhiphop.com reigns in the summer with more news and more music from the best in the industry.
