The Motor City vets will release the album on October 25th on their independent label, Barak Records. The project features production from Mike Taylor (Boyz in Da Hood), BR Gunna, and RJ Taylor as well as an appearance from R&B crooner Dwele.
The set will also include a DVD on which the group addresses their label issues-they recently split with Capitol Records-and rumors surrounding the changes in the band’s lineup.
Slum Village has also signed a deal with GM where their first single, “Ez Up,” will be featured in advertisements for Chevrolet. Slum members T-3 and Elzhi will also appear in the national televised spots promoting the 2006 Impala and HHR models slated to air in November.
Along with partnering with their hometown auto giant, the duo have also made a deal with ring tone company Zingy. Two weeks before their disc hits store songs from the album will be available to fans as ring tones.
