Showing that sharing is caring, Soulja Boy has teamed up with the Toyz N Da Hood charity organization to donate gifts to underprivileged youth this Christmas.   Toyz  N Da Hood is a non profit organization that was started by Hittmenn DJ president Robert “Kaspa” Smith in 2002. Since then the organization has spread holiday cheer to thousands of kids by donating their time and money to make their holidays brighter. Just last year alone they donated over 20,000 toys.  Joining them are several high profile stars as each year they reach out to several celebrities and have had such people as Chris Brown, Akon, Young Jeezy, Polow Da Don, Mr. Collipark, and Devyne Steve help them out with this cause.

The organization will donate toys and gifts until December 17th at various Atlanta middle and high schools. The students will then have some kind of competition to see which school will receive the most toys and also a concert from the top hip hop stars in the Atlanta region (which is like half of the game now).  Soulja Boy himself will be hosting the centerpiece toy drive event at Atlanta’s Walmart, where the goal is to give out over 50,000 toys.

Soulja Boy said he jumped at the chance to help the kids have a merry Christmas, as he can relate to having an empty Christmas tree. “It’s all about putting smiles on kids’ face this holiday season,” Soulja Boy said. “I’m happy to do anything I can during these hard economic times to make a kid’s holiday season a little brighter. Growing up I didn’t have much, so I can relate to these kids and know how important it is to them. To see how excited they get when we donate all these toys is worth anything I can do to make that possible.”
