Tampa, FL. – The most watched annual event in NFL history, the Super Bowl has come around again and fanatical football fans across the nation, especially in Pittsburgh and Arizona, are raving for 43rd edition being held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
On February 1st, 2009, the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers will square off head to head with the Arizona Cardinals. At least half the nation will be glued to their television sets as both mammoth teams collide head on with their eye on the prize, the acclaimed Vince Lombardi trophy.
This year’s Super Bowl will be of utmost importance to Arizona after 61 years they will be finally be looking for their first win; however this will be quarterback Kurt Warner’s second since he played for the Rams in 1999.
The Cardinals came a long way overcoming the odds with a 12-7 season record over a Steelers 14-4. Pittsburgh will be looking for their sixth win over all with the odds on them trampling over Arizona, but then again you never know, it will all come down to who wants it more.
This will be the fourth time the Super Bowl will be held in Tampa, Florida, the first was in 1984. Jennifer Hudson has been slated to sing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ before commencement of the game, while old school rock legend Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will headline the halftime show.
The game has been set to air on the NBC network on February 1, 2009.
